Pride of BGBC
This last week saw success for our Club representative sides in both the Belle Trophy and Sevenoaks District League. Many congratulations to all involved.
Belle Trophy
Our ladies played in the Semi final of the Belle Trophy against Horton Kirby on a neutral green during the week. The team led by Alison Andrews, was Rachel Banks, Jane Cogle, Sharon Greaves, Rita Horn, Dee Ragan, Mary Round, Di Sekjer, Dawn Slater, Chris Wells with Eve Strudwick and Heather Young as reserves. The result was a win by 84-51 shots.
The final is at Bellingham BC on Friday 6th Sept at 2pm against either South Hill Wood or Holmesdale whose semi final is being played this Saturday. As well as the possibility of winning silverware a cash prize is assured for the club. If you can, please go along to support them.

In Division 2, our Borough Green team of Captain Josh Rowe, Tom Ragan, Greg Rowe, Alex Rowe, Peter Andrews and Alison Andrews won the division title. Close on their heels in the Runners Up position was our Valley View team of Captain Dee Ragan, Sean Daffey, Geoff Smith, Sharon Greaves, Nigel Davidson and David Round.
In Division 3, not to be out done was our Minters Orchard team of Captain Paul Fennell, Wayne Wooller, Mick Scott, Dick Ralph, Tony Cogle, Jane Cogle and Steve West who brought home the division title with also the best shots scored and least conceded in the whole league.
Finally, commiserations go to our Woodlands Division 1 team led by Captain Andy Patterson, Gary Batty, Bill Green, Neale Woodham, Trevor Wells, Chris Wells and Stuart Hatton who lost out in the Marshall Cup Semi final on Tuesday to fellow Division 1 team Sevenoaks.
