What is it?
An enjoyable, relaxed evening of lawn bowls designed for the whole family! Whether you’ve never picked up a bowl before or you’ve played a few times, this is a perfect introduction to the sport in a fun, pressure-free environment.
You can expect:
- Coaching sessions from friendly instructors
- Lawn bowls games and activities
- Family-friendly games and competitions
- Plenty of laughs and quality time together
It’s a brilliant way to get active, try something new, and enjoy a summer evening outdoors with the kids or grandparents.
Who can come?
- Ages 8 to 88 — genuinely all ages welcome!
- Under 8s are welcome but unfortunately cannot play.
- Under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
- No experience needed — absolute beginners are very welcome.
- The focus is on fun, not competition.
What to bring?
- Optional: sun cream, hats, or sunglasses
- Yourself and the family!
- You must bring flat-soled shoes (trainers, deck shoes, etc. — no heels or studs)
What does it cost?
Nothing, it’s completely free!
Refreshments
- Hot dogs and ice creams available to buy
- Licensed bar on site for adults (soft drinks and other options also available)
This is a lovely, inclusive community event that’s perfect for making memories. Whether you come as a young family, with teens, or bring the grandparents, there’s something for everyone.
